We ask that you fill out our Fundraiser form so that we can keep track of all the incredible events going on to support the animals, and help you promote and run your event.

What We Can Provide:

  • Tax receipts if in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency and Edmonton Humane Society guidelines
  • Signage reading “All Proceeds in Support of the Animals at EHS”
  • Coin boxes
  • A letter of support acknowledging the event
  • Brochures

What We Can’t Provide:

  • Sponsorship support
  • Guarantee of staff or volunteer presence
  • Prizes, rewards, or EHS branded merchandise
  • Funding or reimbursement of expenses related to the fundraising event
  • Shelter animals to attend fundraising events

Tax Receipt Guidelines:

The Edmonton Humane Society is happy to provide a tax receipt for all donations over $20.00. However, in order for EHS to provide a tax receipt, EHS requires all the necessary paperwork in accordance with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency)  as per Section 8, before issuing a charitable tax receipt.

In instances of cash, check or electronic transfer we require name of donor, address and email.

Instances of donations of property other than cash, the fair market value of the property at the time the gift was made, as well as the date of the gift, a description of the property, and the name and address of the appraiser is required.
