Back for another day of festival fun in the sun, we’re ready to paw-ty. Come celebrate the special bond we have with our pets as we raise funds supporting EHS and enjoy a day full of paw-some events and activities for people and pets. This event is free to attend and so are all of our activity stations!

This year’s event is once again located at Buena Vista Park!
The park is located on the north bank of the river, adjacent to Sir Wilfred Laurier Park.
Get ready to leash-up, lace-up and collect pledges to help animals in need!
Join us as an individual paw-ticipant or gather your pack and register together! By signing up for the EHS Run/Walk for Pets, sponsored by Champion Petfoods, you’re taking a meaningful step to help homeless animals in our care at the Edmonton Humane Society.
Choose between the 5km run or the 2.5km walk on Sunday, June 23 at 9 a.m. (with warm-up at 8:30 a.m.) in Buena Vista Park and together, let’s work towards our $32,000 fundraising goal. Your support will not only enrich the lives of people and pets but also make you eligible to earn some fur-tastic prizes! You can register right up until the Run/Walk kicks off, but we recommend doing so ahead of time so that you can pick up your EHS paw-ticipant Run/Walk swag bag!*

Start training to participate in one of our most popular events at the Pets in the Park outdoor festival – the Dachshund Dash! Compete against other Dachshunds to the cheers of adoring fans and celebrate the human-animal bond with the Edmonton Humane Society.

There will be limited parking available at Buena Vista Park. Shuttle services will be available at Southgate Mall and the Edmonton Humane Society. Alternatively, we suggest carpooling or having someone drop attendees off at Buena Vista Park.
There will be shuttle buses available to make your travel easier to Pets in The Park. There are two locations for shuttles will be located at for park and ride to Buena Vista Park: our shelter and Southgate Mall.
Both locations will have round-trip pickups, to get people and pets to and from the festival. The buses will have 70 seats available.
Pick-up for the shuttle bus from EHS will be located on our shelter campus, outside our Adoption Gallery doors.
The trip from EHS takes approximately 20 minutes each way.
Pick-up for the shuttle bus from Southgate Mall will be located in the south east parking lot near Hudson’s Bay, just off of 108A St NW.
The trip takes approximately 15 minutes each way.
Drop-off and pick-up for attendees at Buena Vista Park will be located on Buena Vista Road NW. It’s approximately a 5-minute walk to the festival grounds from this location.

This bus runs continually all day, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Southgate Mall and, travelling to Buena Vista Park and then returning again. The bus willl pick-up and drop-off people and pets waiting at either stop.
