Dogs must have veterinary proof of current vaccinations: DHLPP and rabies. A canine cough vaccine is highly recommended. Puppies require a minimum of two sets of vaccines. Puppies vaccinated by a breeder that is not a DVM will not be accepted.

You and the trainer will get to know each other, the dog’s history and current challenges. This provides the trainer with the information to recommend the best hands-on practice, theories and methods to be used. It’s important we understand the current challenges and your dog’s history as it sets the foundation for your dog’s customized modification plan.
These plans will provide you with the confidence to work with your dog and gage results.
You are welcome to bring any family/household members that would be helping with the dog along with you. All children, 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
No, we limit consultations to one dog at a time.
We book up quickly for consultations and ask that you arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure you get the most out of your session. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your consult without notice, the session will be considered a no-show. No refunds or transfers will be considered.
We need a minimum of 48 business hours notice for cancellations/rescheduling. Please email askthespecialist@edmontonhumanesociety.com. No shows or cancellation requests with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded.
After you have registered for your private consultation, you will receive an email providing detailed information about where to go and instructions for dogs with any special considerations.
