Barn Buddies Program
These spayed/neutered cats are well-suited to living the acreage or farm life outdoors!
These cats are not suited to living indoors as they will not use a litter box, and/or do not like being around people due to being feral/semi-feral. To help these Barn Buddies find a home suited for them, these cats are available by a fee of your choice rather than standard adoption fees. Adopters must be able to provide food, water and shelter for their Barn Buddy.

Farm Friends Program
These spayed/neutered dogs are well-suited to living the acreage or farm life outdoors!
These dogs are not suited to living indoors as they have a known history of living outdoors and/or behaviours observed in shelter indicate that the dog would experience a decline in quality of life if they lived in a fully indoors home. To help these Farm Friends find a home suited for them, these dogs are available by a reduced fee rather than standard adoption fees. Adopters must be able to provide food, water and shelter for their Farm Friend, as well as any necessary veterinary care.
It is not advised that Farm Friends live fully indoors, but if adopters should wish to eventually transition this dog into full time indoors living, they will be required to address any concerns that may come up such as sensitivity to certain flooring, anxiety, destructive behaviours, escaping, and/or house-soiling.

Cattitude Cats Program
What do you call a cat with attitude? A cattitude cat!
Some of the cats we have in our care are not as social, but will still make good house pets. To help these “grumpy cats” find loving homes, they are available for adoption at a fee of your choice. Cattitude cats are listed with all our adoptables but will say ‘Cattitude’ right in the title so they are easy to pick out.
Senior-for-Senior Program
Cats can make wonderful companions for seniors, and pet ownership has many health and stress-relieving benefits too!
To help the older felines in our care find suitable homes, adoption fees for senior cats (age 7 and up) when adopted by senior people (age 65 and up) are by a fee of your choice, instead of our standard adoption fees.
